About Us

Mae Studio was born in November 2020 in Leeds, with the aim of reinventing the fashion industry.

Hannah, our founder, graduated with a First Class Honours in Fashion. She explored tailoring and denim work in depth during her time at University and guidance from her lecturers really instilled the importance of quality, sustainability and individuality into her. This is where the main ideals of Mae Studio come from.

Slow fashion is really important to us, and we believe that every piece of clothing we own should have a story behind it. We create pieces which will stand the test of time with fabric sourced solely from the UK. Everything on our site is handmade in-house to order, meaning the piece you purchase will be individual to you. We also offer made-to-measure options, because clothes are made to fit you, you should not have to fit into clothes.

We offer a personalised Alteration Service so you can extend the life of any items you already own. The heartbreak of losing your favourite pair of jeans because they don't fit perfectly anymore, or the zip has broken is like no other. We believe that your favourite pieces should grow and change with you, not be thrown away in favour of new garments.

We also have a Custom Enquiry Form to help you bring your ideas to life. We love to help you create special garments which are uniquely yours at an accessible rate. Personally we love to make our own clothes and believe that this opportunity should not be gate-kept by people who have the ability and the means to create bespoke garments for themselves.
